Behind the image.

Looking, choosing and giving a story its form: our work develops through decisions made before, during and after the shoot.

The Journal brings together Giacomo Roggi’s personal research and the studio’s shared productions, exploring the places, preparation and visual choices behind each project.

Personal observation

Through Giacomo’s eyes.

Travel, architecture and everyday life inform Giacomo’s personal research. Working without a brief gives him space to follow a place, notice a gesture and build a sequence around what he finds.

That way of looking also shapes the studio’s work.
