Journal / Making of

Three locations, one journey.

A photographic project documenting Andrea Roggi’s exhibition journey across Paris, Saint-Tropez and Courchevel, developed in collaboration with Galeries Bartoux.
From Paris to Saint-Tropez and Courchevel 1850, Élan Vital develops through a sequence of installations and exhibition settings in collaboration with Galeries Bartoux.
Preparation / 01

One approach, three settings

Élan Vital follows Andrea Roggi’s sculptures through Paris, Saint-Tropez and Courchevel in collaboration with Galeries Bartoux. Our preparation begins with Giacomo Roggi’s site visit and continues in the studio, where we define the creative direction for the service.
We assess the equipment for photographs, film and social content. A shared production method accompanies the project through urban, coastal and Alpine exhibition settings.
On location / 02

From Paris to the coast and the Alps

On location, the first photographs and footage record the surroundings and everyday life. This contextual material gives each stage its own identity, from Paris to Saint-Tropez and Courchevel 1850, including L’Art au Sommet.
Installation / 03

Following each installation

As installation begins, Francesco Adreani films the work and Giulia Bidi records vertical footage. Giacomo Roggi leads the creative direction and photographic coverage.
The different stages belong to one exhibition journey, while the documentation records the process within each setting.
Photography / 04

The finished work in each location

At the end of installation, Giacomo Roggi makes the formal photographs intended for institutional use and the press. The focus is the artwork in its completed presentation, with its surroundings contributing to the identity of that stage.
Francesco Adreani films the sculpture clear of the installation crew and documents the backstage of the photographic service.
Social / 05

Connecting the stages through social content

Giulia Bidi creates reels, interviews where appropriate and promotional formats from the social coverage. These provide a way to follow Élan Vital across its different locations alongside the project’s photographic record.
