A bright fold against a deep shadow. The sheen of a dress beside the softness of a jacket. Without colour, texture takes the lead, bringing the eye close to the fabric and then back to the person wearing it.

Worn stone, carved surfaces and narrow streets give the clothes another setting. The architecture adds its own lines and layers, while the figures bring movement to these still spaces.
